Mira Lapray

European Patent Attorney

Mira Lapray, PhD, joined IPStudies in September 2020 to support strategic patent development and advanced patent analytics, such as international third party observation services and European opposition analytics, for IPStudies customers in the field of life sciences and medical technologies. Mira has gained experience in the field of intellectual property by working in a private practice and in a technology transfer office. In 2021, she became a fully qualified professional representative before the European Patent Office (EPO).

Mira is a trained biologist and holds MSc in Biology (specialised in neurobiology) from Jagiellonian University (Poland). Mira obtained her DPhil in Pharmacology from Oxford University (Lady Margaret Hall, UK). Mira’s doctoral work was focused on neuronal networks of the amygdala and was performed at the Medical Research Council (MRC) Anatomical Neuropharmacology Unit. Following her studies, Mira became European Molecular Biology Organisation (EMBO) fellow in Lausanne (Switzerland) and studied the role of oxytocin in anxiety disorders. Mira is the author/co-author of 7 scientific and industry/IP related publications.

Mira lives now along the Lake Geneva with her family.
